Scanning
How much time does the average scan take of my home or business?
We can scan a 100 square meter area in around an hour, often less. Larger areas take up a proportionally longer amount of time.
Can I scan outdoor areas?
Yes! Generally speaking, outdoor areas work just as well as indoor areas. There are some special considerations to take into account however, such as avoiding direct sunlight. Contact us and we'll see what we can do.
How large of an area can be scanned in one model?
There is a technical limitation of 200 scanning positions per model, and each position can effectively cover approximately 10 square meters, so as a gross approximation, a model can cover around 2,000 square meters. The exact size depends on a number of factors, such as the layout of the area, how many obstructions to the camera's line-of-sight there are, and how comprehensive the client wishes the scan to be.
Embedding
How quickly after the scan can it be on my website?
We deliver the embed code to you within 36 hours after a scan is completed. How soon you put it up on your website is, of course, up to you.
However, we understand that sometimes you don't have the kind of control you want over your website, and it can take some time before your webmaster can get the model online. To help out with these kinds of situations, we also publish the model on a dedicated page on our website to which you can link freely.
Will I be able to display my model on other websites?
We place no restrictions on how you use your model - you're welcome to embed it on as many sites as you wish. The question of whether there is a way to do so from a technical perspective depends on what those other websites permit. If they allow you to add code such as a YouTube video embed, then yes, you should be able to show your model.
How easy is it to embed the 3D model on my website?
It's as easy as embedding a YouTube video - that is to say, very easy. We provide you with a simple embed code that does it all. All you have to do is insert it into your website where you want it to show up.

Can I create fly-through videos?
We don't know - can you? If not, we can do it for you! ;) See the pricing page for details.
Can I use my VR headset to view models?
Yes, using the Samsung Gear VR. However, models need to be specially processed before they can be used for VR, and this costs extra. See the pricing page for details.
Since both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive require a connection to a high-end computer, we do not support VR on those platforms.
